This house and garage were built in the ‘30s and ‘50s. There is very little storage in either building. With the grandkids visiting often, toys, extra bedding, and other items needed a home outside the house. Plus, there were all the tools and things that normally reside in a garage
The team designed and hung an Elfa system from The Container Store along the back wall for extra storage, added plain white tubs to ‘clean it up’ Meaning, white tubs on a white wall is very relaxing to drive into at the end of the day.

This is the same house that the small garage closet was in. The master closets are so small that the client used this upstairs closet for off season. There were lots of cubbies and areas to store items, however the layout was strange and hard to access. As the inventory grew they simply added another layer.
Our team helped purge the items no longer needed and then categorized the remaining things that needed to be stored. Then we moved some of the existing shelf units around so that the flow was easier to access and the shoes were easier to see as well. The clothes organization was done by types of clothing and by color. We also delivered many items to donation and friends.

The interior designer had a great idea for custom bookcase storage under the stairs, however the depth was so great that books were lost in the recesses of the storage.
We arranged books in baskets so that the front row could easily be removed and you could reach the items in the back.
